FRIDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER
I’ve been sitting here for the last ten minutes wondering how to start this post. None of the words I’m thinking of seem suitable. It was a good day, happy day, great day, brilliant day? No.
It was a proud day.
I hit all my goals today, and then some!
Not falling into temptation √
Saying NO when unhealthy food is put in front of me √
Being happy √
Being productive √
Being ME √
To celebrate I had some ice-cream! Don’t worry it was healthy ice-cream! – Insert Carlton Banks doing happy dance here – *Note; learn how to insert gifs in posts. Granny A strikes again!* I got the recipe from The Happy Pear, they have two really amazing books out. At the moment, I’m only eating from their books and I feel incredible!
I “skipped” breakfast today because I woke up at 10:30am, having finished my last blog posts at 2:30am! I went straight to lunch and cooked a quinoa and steamed vegetable dish. Sounds horrid right? It was surprisingly delicious. I will be doing a blog post on this dish and all the food I ate today because it was all from The Happy Pear!
For dinner I had one of my favorite dishes, certainly a go-to dish, potato and bean curry, mmmm. Excuse me while I salivate! (That’s attractive!)
I then had the ice-cream for dessert a couple of hours later, after my workout, and enjoyed every bit of it completely guilt free! (A Happy Pear recipe as well, I know, predictable!)
I should mention though I had a brownie as a snack….., also 100% healthy! Woohoo! Also another Happy Pear recipe! I managed to say no to a takeaway, a full box of profiteroles and a share size bag of crisps, today alone! It may be a silly thing to be proud of, but I’m over the moon for showing a slight bit of restraint. There’s hope for me yet!
It sounds like a lot of food but I was meal prepping for the next couple of days in work. That’s my excuse for having a little bit of everything anyway! (Let me know if you’d be interested in a blog post on meal prep)
For my exercise today, I of course did another of Lucy’s workouts! I’m now all caught up on her current challenge, so from tomorrow I will be doing a September Challenge video and a January Challenge video every day. I figure if I keep going like this then by the end of the year I will have done all of her challenges from every month, in time for next years! I did this workout first (I am currently loving her walking workouts) and followed it with this workout! I haven’t said yet in any of my blog posts, but I do stretch after every workout. I think it’s very important, especially as I have a bad back and bad knees. I use this video from Lucy but I know it off by heart so I don’t watch it every time.
I’ve been feeling really positive today and got a lot of prep done for the blog in the hopes that I will be a bit ahead of myself. I decided to spread the positivity in any way I could, so I gave a small bit of recognition to the people I thought deserved it. Even more recognition than they already had. Click here to see what I did, while your there why don’t you give me a follow! 🙂 I always love hearing from you guys and always try my best to reply straight away, this way you can keep me updated on how your finding the 14 Day Challenge.
If you didn’t already know I’ve been blogging for three years now. I know I don’t have many posts but that’s because I’ve given my blog a re-haul too many times to count and every time I do, I put “that blog’s” posts on private. I got chatting to one of my most avid readers Happys Journal, I love this girl. She’s so upbeat and just a lovely person to chat to. (You won’t regret reading her blog!) We got to talking and to cut a long story short she convinced me to set up an instagram. If you would like to see what I’m up to there, then click here!
I’m back to work again tomorrow, rise and shine at 6:30am, it’s currently 1am! :'( No sleep for the wicked as they say! So why don’t you leave a comment or a tweet and keep me entertained in work! Haha
One other thing!
Something I’ve noticed these posts are lacking is me telling you my weight/measurements and how far I’ve come and have yet to go. Let me know in the comments or on twitter how you would prefer I tell you. Through pictures, measurements or weight. Also let me know how often you’d like me to give you an update on my weightloss, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. I open to any and all suggestions!
Massive thanks to Beth for using her incredible graphic design skills for my 14 Day Challenge headers and putting up with my indecisiveness! Check out her design instagram!
